On Sunday, May 13, the Seattle Sounders took on the Portland Timbers in the 100th match between the two clubs dating back to 1975. A steadfast Sounders side held strong for 86 minutes before a late Timbers goal saw the home side prevail 1-0. Below is a visual experience of the 100th match from Providence Park in Portland.

Repping the Heritage Kits

For the second time in 2018, the Sounders wore the classic white Heritage kits. A badge commemorating the 100th match was placed above the adidas marks.

Special captain's armband and pennant

Cristian Roldan wore a one-of-a-kind armband as captain of the Rave Green and exchanged a unique pennant with Timbers captain Liam Ridgewell before the match. While the Rave Green didn't walk away with three points, this pennant sums up the rivalry: Decades of Dominance.
