Ruidíaz lands in seattle

Ruidíaz arrived in Seattle after participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup with his native Peru. The forward spent two years in Mexico where he was second in scoring amongst all players.

Ruidíaz signs with the sounders

The Peruvian joins Seattle's roster as its newest Designated Player joining Clint Dempsey and Nicolás Lodeiro as the club's current Designated Players. He is the club's 12th Designated Player since Seattle's inaugural MLS season in 2009.

Meet the team

Just hours after being announced as the newest member of Sounders FC, Ruidíaz participated in his first training session for the Rave Green. The 5-foot-7-inch forward will be eligible to play once Major League Soccer's secondary transfer window opens on July 10.
