Gustav Svensson and Sweden advance to World cup quaterfinals

gustav svensson made his first start in the 2018 fifa world cup playing 90 minutes in central midfield for the blågult

Emil Forsberg's (No. 10) second-half goal was enough to see the Swedes through while Svensson provided stable defensive work cutting off Swiss passes and thwarting various attacks.

Sweden is set to play england in the quarterfinals on saturday, july 7 in samara

The last time Sweden advanced this far was at the 1994 World Cup held in the United States.
